At HoneyBee Records’ Center for Music Education, we believe that talent is secondary to hard work and that the prize is secondary to the journey.  We know that anything worth having in this world must be earned.  We do not coddle or patronize our students, but rather treat them like young artists, and that is what they usually become.  We know that music can be fun, and we take that approach to it day in and day out.  But we also know it has great healing power - for us, for them, and for the world - and therefore it must be embarked upon with a fair amount of reverence and humility.  At HoneyBee, children are encouraged, but they are not carried.  They are inspired, not lectured.  They are talked to, not talked at.  We want every student to walk onto the stage with the swagger of a champion, but then walk into the classroom with an open heart and mind, ready and willing to learn, to experiment, and ultimately to succeed, not only in music and in school, but in life.
